FAQ

Getting started

What does Music City Wildlife do?

We remove wildlife from homes and businesses in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, then seal the entry points, repair damage and clean up. We cover squirrels, raccoons, bats, opossums, skunks, snakes, birds, rodents, armadillos, groundhogs, stinging insects and more.

How do I get a free estimate?

Call 615-357-7797, send the form on this page, or use the Wildlife Problem Finder. Tell us what you see, hear or smell and where, and we get back to you with a plan.

Do you offer 24-hour emergency service?

Yes. For an animal in the house, a bat or snake indoors, an aggressive or sick animal or a dead animal, call 615-357-7797 any hour.

What should I do right now if animals are in my home?

Keep people and pets away from the area, do not block any openings and call us. If anyone has been bitten or scratched, call your doctor and 911 if it is serious.

FAQ

Animals and timing

What should I do if I hear noises in my attic?

Do not seal anything. Note the time of day and the type of sound and call us. A daytime scratch is often a squirrel, while night thumping can be a raccoon, a rodent or bats.

Will baby animals be left behind?

No. We check for young before any work and time removals so mothers and babies are removed or reunited together.

Do you handle bats?

Yes. Bats are protected and need careful timing, so we use one-way exits outside the pup season and seal the building afterward.

Do you clean up after the animals?

Yes. We remove droppings and soiled insulation, sanitize, and can install new insulation and repair damage.

When is baby season in Tennessee?

Roughly late winter through summer, depending on the animal. Squirrels and raccoons can have young in late winter and spring, and bats have pups from mid-May through July.

Do you handle snakes?

Yes. We identify and remove snakes and help reduce what attracts them, such as rodents and clutter.

FAQ

Services and areas

What areas do you serve?

We serve Nashville and 49 more Middle Tennessee areas, including Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Mt. Juliet, Smyrna, Lebanon, Nolensville, Spring Hill, Columbia and more.

Which animals do you handle?

We cover all 59 animals on our Wildlife of Tennessee list, from squirrels and raccoons to bats, snakes, birds, moles, beavers, coyotes and wasps. Some are protected, and for those we advise and prevent rather than remove.

Do you work on commercial properties?

Yes. We handle offices, retail, warehouses, restaurants, apartments, HOAs and farms.

Do you do repairs?

Yes. We repair soffits, fascia, vents and other damage, and we install chimney caps, mesh and skirting.

FAQ

Safety and rules

Are some animals protected?

Yes. Many birds, several bats and other animals are protected by state or federal law. We advise you and use deterrence or exclusion as the law allows.

Is it safe to clean droppings myself?

Small amounts can be cleaned with gloves, a respirator and wet cleaning, but never dry sweep. Larger amounts should be handled by a professional.

Who do I call about bears or deer?

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency manages them. We help you protect property and pets.

Are your free tools a substitute for an inspection?

No. They are planning guides. An inspection of the actual roof, attic, crawl space and yard is the only way to be sure.
